The New Dawn expansion for Wraith & The Giants adds one giant and one wraith (well really two because they are twins, but they play together). The metal giant is quite difficult to defeat, as it adds shields that have to be broken by attacks, otherwise the wraith’s attack values to the weak points are decreased. The twin wraiths are pretty cool! They have an action grid on their player board that allows for additional actions each turn, but they use the young wraith cards which aren’t super good, so that evens out their strength some. It’s also neat because there is one action row for each twin, and also both can be attacked which can double damage.

In my opinion, as a person that enjoys the base game but doesn’t love it, the metal giant and twin wraiths are both good additions, but not a need unless you really want more content. They add quite a bit of variety to the game and the twins require different strategies and tactics which are fun and challenging. This one is a “more of the same” kind of expansion, that adds good content without changing the base mechanics and core gameplay loop.
