The Corps of Discovery: Vameter expansion adds, shockingly, Vameter! To defeat Vameter, you have to weaken the Vameter and then use sharpshooters to hopefully kill it/him before Vameter can escape.

In my opinion, this is a weak expansion. It does create variety and adds ten more maps and a few new rules and mechanisms, but for me, the challenge really wasn’t there, and the additions and changes aren’t particularly enjoyable, nor do they add to the puzzle and make it more interesting.

I was also quite annoyed to find out that you’re technically supposed to play expansion one before expansion two (I tried playing two first for reference). I know that sounds weird, but I assumed that they were all standalone and that you could just pick and choose, but that’s not 100% true. Technically, it is 99% playable with just the base game and the expansion content, but there is one card in this expansion that relates back to expansion one which I don’t care for.

I know it’s not super important, but the fact that this expansion isn’t entirely standalone puts me off a little bit. After this realization, I honestly don’t even want to consider the other two expansions. Insecta is amazing, so I think I’ll just stick with that one for now.

So, not only did the gameplay in this one disappoint, but so did the design choices. This one was a two map and done situation for me, unfortunately. I really wanted to enjoy it, though!
